Going Back to some Dutch artistry and song with DE KIFT after my friend and founder of Wreck This Mess (Bart Plantenga) came through Paris from Amsterdam. He has turned me onto to many artists from the Netherlands that I would never have known without him. Cheers B’art. Also exclusively here are a couple of tracks by Ithak. Best regards to Seb El Ezin. You can listen to other tracks by Ithak on www.myspace.com/ithaque

While the world was losing all its money and the stocks were shooting downward like arrows into the sea.. I recorded some of it on TV. Historically like 1929 but in Modern America. How come no one gives independant radio a Billion dollars ! At least a new Grosso Gadgetto is out on JFX and Laurent de Wilde & Otisto 23 have a great double LP of PC Pieces remixed by 23 artists - that’s out on DTC - both recommended.

Attempting to mix some tracks off the new album by Von Magnet turned out to be trickier than I thought. The lps original tracklisting has been weel thought out in advance.

Still thinking of Hector Zazou... of Dave Coppenhall. Voices on cold seas. Enjoying the unique work of Lise N. Truly unique.

So sadly Hector Zazou left us just before his latest release ’In The House of Mirrors’ came out on Crammed recordings. I had met Hector once or twice via the Lefdup brothers at Snark. Hector was a good friend of theirs. Lena and I almost played with him in Nantes this summer, but he had to cancel because of his health. His younger partner, Sebastien Trouve, played a fine ambient set while Hector made his way back to Paris. Music can live on beyond us. Making lasting music touches this power. Hector will be missed by many, but his music will be listened to for mny years to come. A great talent. Better to have been than never.
